What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is paying attention in a particular way and on purpose. It can help us to have a greater sense of self awareness with noting and observing feelings, sensations and thoughts without judgement. It also helps us to reconnect with ourselves and others.
It helps us to break negative patterns and replace with positive ones. We are not our thoughts! Often we go inwards and recycle those negative thoughts over and over and we can sometimes get drawn into ruminative thinking. When we bring ourselves into the present, we can be neither anxious or depressed.
Mindfulness dates back to over 2,500 years ago, but these days, it is unsurprisingly becoming more and more popular with people all ages, from children to young people and adults.
If you’re feeling frazzled, disconnected, anxious and need to find some calm space and a calm mind, mindfulness may be just what your mind and body needs.

Private 1-To-1 Mindfulness Course – Face To Face Or Online
With your 1to1 sessions we will adopt a clinical approach assisting you with issues which may relate to your health, wellbeing and personal development. You will be invited to maintain a reflective journal for the sessions. An audio recording of the relevant mediation used in the session, will be sent to you, alongside any other appropriate resources.
The programme will have a fusion of both MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy). This will contain the developing/learning of awareness – achieved through mindfulness practice.
If we want to move away from negative patterns and intrusive thoughts, we need to do something that is different and possibly challenging, the good news is, it can be done and the benefits can be experienced on the way!
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” ― Fred DeVito
When we embark on something new, it can often mean coming out of our comfort zone. This can apply to implementing a mindfulness practice. However, the more we practice the more we benefit and so create those healthier thought patterns.
As each individual is unique, the course will be prescriptive for your specific needs and therefore a price will be given once these have been established.
*Please Note: For new clients, a full consultation is carried out prior to your first treatment at a cost of £10.
Myself and my husband very much enjoyed our Tuesday night mindfulness zoom sessions over the last few months. I have tried mindfulness online before and found that I cannot do it if I do not like the person’s voice. It has to be a soothing voice. We found that Tina has such a calm voice it was easy to start to relax as soon as the session started. It was also easy to forget any worries from the week. We also enjoyed the mindfulness themes, especially the ones connected to nature. Tina also has a huge selection of excellent quotes, that make you think and was good at explaining what they all mean.
I have taken part in online group mindfulness sessions with Tina for the past few months. As someone who often struggles with relaxation and anxiety, I have found them thoroughly valuable and have really appreciated learning new strategies and techniques that can help me regulate and calm myself when needed. She has also provided an opportunity for support and interaction amongst a group of people remotely, during a time of high stress and anxiety given the lockdown restrictions. I have found Tina very easy to engage with, warm and very soothing in her tone and general spirit.
