COVID-19 Update & Summary Of Key Measures
However, in order for us to be COVID-19 secure, there are some changes we have made which will be summarised below.
Throughout the pandemic, we have been issued guidelines by our professional body CThA, insurance, NHS, Government and local authority to help minimise risk of the transmission of Coronavirus.
Your safety and that of your families are of paramount importance to us and so the measures implemented on a daily basis have reflected this by the enhanced health, safety and hygiene measures (including the use of PPE) that have been put into place in the clinic.

COVID-19 Risk Assessment
A COVID-19 risk assessment has been carried out to:
- Identify who may potentially be at risk.
- Ascertain what working activity or situations may cause the transmission of the virus.
- Consider how likely it is that someone could be exposed and if so, to remove the activity or situation. If this is not possible, we can identify ways to control the risk.
This will be updated as the situation evolves.
Therapist’s COVID-19 Health Screening
We will be recording our temperature on a daily basis. We will also make a declaration that we are fit and healthy in order to work safely and perform a treatment at Galini Therapies clinic. This is done to monitor our own health which relates to the COVID-19 symptoms. Should we experience any COVID-19 symptoms or if we are infected, we will defer any scheduled appointments with clients.
Below we have outlined what you can expect with regards to appointments.
Following the booking of your appointment, the consultation will be carried out remotely within 48 hours of your treatment. This will be done via zoom, video or a voice call if preferred, in order to minimise face-to-face contact as outlined in the Government guidelines. The consultation also gives you time to ask any questions should you have any. A COVID-19 screening will also be carried out with the client.
A remote consultation and COVID-19 screening will be carried out for every subsequent treatment.
Day Of Appointment
Clients will receive a text message on the day of their appointment asking them to defer their treatment if they are feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms.
A brief consultation and aftercare advice will take place at your appointment. If further aftercare is considered relevant, we will follow this up with a text message or email.
Due to the guidelines we are adhering to, some treatments may be adapted or restricted as a control measure to mitigate the risk of infection.
Maintaining Social Distancing
Due to the nature of the treatment, we will adhere to the relevant guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE. Social distancing measures will be in place at the client’s arrival and departure, keeping conversation to a minimum.
NHS Test & Trace
To enable Galini Therapies to assist with the NHS Test & Trace to help with containing clusters and outbreaks, a temporary record of client’s appointments will be kept for this purpose only. We encourage clients to give their consent for this.
